Postdoctoral Researcher, Politecnico di Bari
Marco received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy, in 2020. He then pursued a PhD studentship at the same institution, completing it in 2023. His research conducted under the mentorship of Professors Carbone and Menga was founded by Isotta Fraschini Motori S.p.A. He mainly worked on the characterization of peeling mechanisms of viscoelastic tapes. During his academic journey, he spent a period at the Soft Matter Science and Engineering Laboratory (SIMM) of the École supérieure de physique et de chimie industrielles (ESPCI, Paris), under the supervision of Prof. Chateauminois, where he conducted experimental analysis of frictional contact. Concurrently, he worked on developing diagnostic systems for diesel engines, employing machine learning and data analysis techniques.
Currently, Marco is a post-doctoral researcher in the Tribology group at the Polytechnic University of Bari. His research centered on Contact Mechanics and Tribology focuses on exploring non-linear effects in contact phenomena of soft materials.
